Guide to Becoming a Torturer (Excerpt)
We can now speak more freely, though alas, the tone of our dicussion must remain almost as somber. Before continuing, we think it important that you commit yourself to the tasks at hand only if assured that you are strong enough to perform what is required of you. This is not a proffession for just any. Though many are strong in their faith, it takes a special blessing to be able to perform the duties that we undertake. As the priest's duties are to lead the flock to safety, so are our duties to remove from this world given unto our keeping, the foul seed of the devil. Let us begin.
We should start with something basic, a precursory test if you will. Ask yourself, if you would torture an animal. You needn't put any other labels on it than that. Just an animal. Why shouldn't you? It is nothing more than meat. There is no soul within it, so why should it matter? There is life yes, but if it had been given a soul, we would not be superior over it. We would all be crawling around on four legs, or all walking on two. This meat has been given to us to dominate, and to use as necessary.
If you answered no, you shouldn't read on. Go back to your calling, and rejoice in it. On the other hand, if you answered yes, there may be something promising within you.
The next step for you is to see the object of your devices not as a human, but as an animal. Really, they are not even worthy of that. You must understand that it is by the good work that you do, and by the confessions and admonitions you bring forth from them that they will be saved. Once they are saved they may be released. For one who is clean cannot continue to live in a body that has been so corrupted, so tainted, that the devil himself would lust after, or even use it for his own means. This is why the most vile body must be destroyed so that the soul may be free, lest it once again fall into temptation.
